Cardiovascular Exercise Is An Important Component Of General Health.
Today it seems everyone believes cardio training is necessary for health. I’d like to examine the proposed benefits of cardio in-depth. Let’s start with the most important reason: heart health. From there, we’ll move on more generally to training, fitness, burning fat, and overall health.
First you need to make sure that you own an iPod or even a cheap portable dvd player. Either way it won’t cost you a lot of money to own this type of equipment. You might already have it. If you don’t own any music you can easily buy your favorite album on dvd or download the music from different artists that you like to your iPod. That way while you are running you can listen, and sing along while you are on your treadmill or outside in the open air. Either way you will have your new workout tape.
There are so many benefits to even the slightest cardiovascular activity, but I am going to first give you the ‘mental’ benefits with little technical explanation so as not to confuse you or discourage you. When you challenge yourself with even the most modest jog, you increase the amount of endorphins that your body creates. Endorphins are like a healthy morphine for you. There are trauma victims that sometimes cannot feel the pain associated with there injuries–because of the release of endorphins. It frees your mind of stress and makes you feel great. Just 20 minutes of running WILL make you feel like this. It does not have to be rigorous.
Music is essential to your workout. Even if you don’t run but simply walk you will find that it benefits you too. If you are trying to lose weight or stay in shape you have to make sure that your heart is at a high enough rate to stimulate calorie burning. If you are walking or running with no music you might not even break a sweat.
What about burning fat? It is true that LSD burns fat as fuel during exercise. More important however, is the overall effect over an entire day or week — most people do spend more time away from exercise (including work and sleep). Interval training will raise the body’s metabolic rate, so that more calories will be burned during the whole process of recovering from exercise and the overall number of calories burned will be greater. Burning fat during LSD also signals the body to store fat for future bouts of exercise, and that combined with elevated cortisol levels will make it difficult to lose those extra few pounds.
Second, some of you will have physical health issues–in particular bad knees. I do not have the best knees myself. They will get sore from time to time, and I even get some fluid buildup that will keep me out of commission for a day or two. You will be forced to breathe heavier–and doing this will force your body to release more endorphins. Remember, you do not have to punish yourself! 20 minutes every other day to start will suffice. The most important thing to know is that you can improve your condition quickly with simple action. If you believe in yourself, and you want a solution, it is there for you.
